In Hollywood, marriage and cheating scandals seem to go together! So many relationships break up because of cheating and these splits are often quite hostile; however, there are some cheating scandals in Hollywood where the scorned women handle themselves with an amazing amount of dignity and integrity. We have a list of 9 women who handled their divorces with class.

9. Ali Landry

Ali Landry dated Mario Lopez for six years before she married him. Unfortunately, after two weeks of marriage, Lopez’s infidelities came to the surface, forcing Landry to annul the marriage. After the marriage was annulled, Landry kept mum about the relationship and its demise. In more recent years, however, she has been quite open about what type of husband Lopez was. We would be pretty upset too if we were in her position!

8. Halle Berry

When Halle Berry was married to Eric Benet, he publically admitted to cheating on her several times. The musician even went to rehab for his alleged addiction. Berry initially stood by her man while he sought help, but it wasn’t enough to stop the man from cheating. Berry filed for divorce and Benet fought against their prenuptial agreement, demanding she pays his legal bills and provides him with spousal support. Despite the messiness, Berry kept it classy.

7. Sandra Bullock

When she found out her husband, Jesse James, cheated on her with multiple women, Sandra Bullock took the high road, even though she was heartbroken. “I’ve been on the floor and I’ve been heartbroken.  I didn’t know how I was going to stand up. But I just gave it time.” And time is all it took. Bullock is doing better than ever and has had a long-standing and successful Hollywood career.

6. Elin Nordegren

While married to Elin Nordegren, Tiger Woods had multiple affairs and, once the media became aware, the entire world knew about the scandal. After divorcing Woods, Nordegren gave only one interview, which was a wise move. “I have been through the stages of disbelief and shock, to anger and ultimately grief over the loss of the family I so badly wanted for my children. I also feel stronger than I ever have. I have confidence in my beliefs, my decisions, and myself.”

5. Maria Shriver

When Maria Shriver suspected that her husband Arnold Schwarzenegger had fathered a love child with their long-time housekeeper Mildred Baena, Shriver asked her point blank. Baena ended up falling to her knees crying and apologizing. According to Baena, Shriver handled the situation with an amazing amount of grace and dignity. Since the scandal broke, Shriver has never talked with the press about what transpired and has kept the situation private, unlike her ex-husband.

4. Sophia Bush

Sophia Bush and Chad Michael Murray found love while working on the set of the TV show One Tree Hill and married after two years of dating; however, after five months of marriage, Bush requested an annulment. Rumors had been swirling that Murray had an undeniable attraction to an extra on the show, Kenzie Dalton (who he ended up dating and proposing to following his split with Sophia). Despite being heartbroken, Bush handled the situation like a lady. “I can’t say there are no hard feelings… I feel hurt, humiliated and broken-hearted,” was basically all Sophia said about the split.

3. Shania Twain

Shania had been married to Robert “Mutt” Lange for 15 years when she found out that he had been having an affair with her best friend. Although Twain was devastated, she handled the divorce with dignity, keeping out of the spotlight. Twain’s reward? Her ex-best friend’s ex-husband, Frederic Thiebald – who we think is a definite step up from “Mutt.”

2. Reese Witherspoon

Despite incessant cheating rumors, Reese Witherspoon has said very little about why her marriage to Ryan Phillippe ended. Despite rumors that Phillippe had been getting cozy with his costar, Abbie Cornish, Reese kept mum on the speculation. When discussing the breakdown of her marriage, Witherspoon comes off as relatable. “Right around Christmas time I was sitting in a parking lot and I felt like I just couldn’t get out of the car. I thought, okay, half of the parking lot has dealt with this. Okay, let’s make it a little bigger – half of this city has dealt with this. Okay, let’s make it a little bigger – half of this country, until I finally got out of the car.”

1. Uma Thurman

Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman had been married for six years when they divorced. Rumor has it that Hawke was having an affair with the couple’s nanny, Ryan Shawhughes. Thurman never confirmed whether or not there was any infidelity and she instead ensured that the couple’s children were the top priority. “I think that that’s such a priority to protect them and to never lose sight of the fact that even if you’re in a fight, or even if things are going badly, it’s in their best interests that everybody comes out okay,” Thurman told Oprah.
